There is a supreme intelligence that permeates all things. There is a 'life-force that interpenetrates every atom of your form, and indeed the universe.' Call it God, call it the universe, call it what you will. The supreme intelligence desires to express itself. However, it needs a vehicle to do so! It expresses itself through the beauty of the coloring trees on a gorgeous autumn day. It expresses itself through all of the mysterious creatures that inhabit the planet. It expresses itself through the rising of the sun and the light of the moon. It expresses itself in an infinite variety of ways. Yet, of paramount importance is that it may express itself unadulterated, unhibited, through you. This is the goal of all yoga. When you are a clear vehicle for the supreme intelligence, you are happy, prosperous, attractive and bright. The problem is, in between the impulse of the supreme intelligence and your conscious mind, exists a subconscious mind. When the subconscious mind becomes cluttered and filled, the supreme intelligence is altered before it reaches your awareness. It is cloaked by subconscious thought forms and you end up becoming a byproduct of your environments and your past, as opposed to the supreme impulse of the soul. Kundalini Yoga is the most powerful tool for cleaning and emptying the subconscious mind (which is just a more specific way of saying 'cleaning the mind'). All problems begin in the subconscious. When you clear it, problems go away, vitality strengthens and prosperity becomes the law of life. You don't believe it? Try it, and see for yourself. It works so effectively, so quickly, the effects are irrefutable. But you have to try, you have to put in the good work, you have to sweat a little bit. It's what being human is all about.
That is why so many of us are looking forward to The Life Force Immersion Retreat in June 2014. It is the perfect opportunity to do the work to clear the subconscious, to get established in a supportive yoga practice, and to generate enough momentum to propel your lifestyle when you return home. Click the link below to find out what you can expect from this powerful event. Hope to see you there!
Life Force Formula Immersion June 2014
If you haven't yet watched the video we sent out, I highly encourage you to take a look soon...and here's why:
This is not the same old stuff you may be used to hearing when it comes to Ayurveda (which should be apparent fairly soon after the video begins!).
It is not an academic style class...and I am not sure if it is politically correct.
However...I do know this:
Since its release on Monday, hundreds of people have watched it, and we have since recieved a steady flood of amazing comments.

Why is it that many people, in spite of eating healthy organic food, receiving various healing therapies and using the best herbs and supplements, are still not reaching the state of health and happiness that they desire?
I've been around the 'natural health' world for quite some time, and I can honestly say that the majority of folks that I meet are not what I would consider to be extraordinarily healthy people.
The answer is that there is much more to being healthy than what you eat, what herbs and medicines you use and even what lifestyle you live. That which creates a healthy mind and body cannot be diluted to any one thing.

I've been obsessed with music my entire life...probably always will be.
I study it...not as much as a musician...but more of a connoisseur, a serious student, a devoted seeker. In fact, I very much worship the sound current. (But I'm willing to bet that you'd have a hard time guessing exactly what's on my iPod.)
Here's the thing...most of the mantra music that I hear...I don't like. This is a real inconvenience to a guy who is obsessed with both music and mantra. But as with most genres of music, the majority of what's out there is mediocre at best.
This is one reason why I consider myself to be a considerably blessed individual...

Well that was an exciting night last night!
I was still up working when the room started shaking...being from the southeast I'm not accustomed to these here earthquakes..so even a little rumble was pretty incredible.
Below I've included links to the PDFs of two very important kriyas. One is to adjust the electromagnetic field after an earthquake, and the other is to prepare for an earthquake. Very powerful exercises.

If you attended class much earlier this year, you were most likely subjected to my constant promotion of the training we held with Harijiwan.
Well, it was an incredible happening.
...I think maybe the best thing that's happened here in Grass Valley since they first dug up some gold....

I just finished a two week cleanse that Simrit and I did together and I'm feeling GREAT. Amazing what a reboot can do.
Although it was not entirely easy to change my eating patterns for two weeks...once I adjusted to the rhythm, the entire perspective shifts. Wow...it really isn't that big of a deal.
And this runs true with life in general. It's not that doing Kundalini Yoga every morning is difficult...it's certainly not as difficult as walking around in a fog all day...or being ruled by your emotional rollercoaster ride!

Autumn has officially arrived. Personally, I love this time of year. There is something cozy and nostalgic about the fall weather that soothes my soul so nicely.
Their are hidden gems to discover through observing the cycles of nature. The Creator speaks the language of metaphor...of mystery. Nature is simple, and yet its simplicity holds a substance of such depth, normal language all too often fails to express its magnitude. It is from this space that all art is born, all poems are written, all music is composed and all songs are sung.

The seasonal shift provides us with a grand opportunity. Some of us have fallen off our routine. Some of us have stopped doing the things that we know keep us healthy and connected to the source of who we are. Some of us have stopped exercising and eating well. There are a million reasons why this has happened, none of which are really all that significant.
Now mother nature is letting us know it is time...enough is enough! You can either fight against the current or you can turn the ship around and ride the wave...your choice completely.

One of the most powerful allies the human being can acquire is sensitivy to prana, sensitivity to how environments influence prana, and how to consciously move and direct the prana. The paradox is that the most subtle aspects of your being, are the most impactful in regards to physical health, the tranquility of the mind and the depth of the happiness.

As the season shifts and the weather flip flops from warm to cold, and cold to warm, the nervous system has to work to adjust.
(Tip: Your skin is an access point to your nervous system. This time of year it is especially useful to vigorously massage the body with warm sesame or almond oil before your shower.)

Important is the body, but far more important is the mind. The purpose of the body is to be a good vehicle for the mind. The purpose of the mind is to project the clear impulse of the soul.
For the body to work as a good vehicle, some kind of a pranic-based, daily exercise is essential for the human being. The energy of the navel must be activated, the blood must flow, and the body must sweat. For the mind to stay clean and clear, and for the human to stay happy and vital, daily meditation is a necessity.

Yogic scriptures say that five-hundred diseases will not come near a person who moves their navel point, becasue the navel point totally controls the Vayus, the pranic airs that circulate through the body.
The secret to creating profound physcial health and mental clarity is to effectively generate extraordinary amounts of prana in the body. When the power of prana is infused throughout the body, the mind has a positive platform to project from a space of heightened intelligence and divine direction. In order to hold great amounts of life-force in the body, there must be a strong nervous system to contain it. In this day and age, a strong nervous system is simply a requirement. Planet earth in 2011 is an excitng place to live.

Now that we're into the end of the summer, it is very likely that a great deal of heat has accumulated internally. While this is natural, it is very important that the physiology is adjusted to compensate, otherwise, excessive heat will cause irritability, bursts of anger and various physical challenges. Likewise, when directed intelligently, this same heat that could of caused great disruption can be used for the purpose of purification and realization.
It is an important law of nature...Energy does not dissapear, but transforms. The intelligent yogi works to generate an internal pranic environment that can 'digest' life experiences and transform them into something of value. If you're angry, realize that the energy of that anger is good energy...but should be directed in a more intelligent fashion.

Mastery is not achieved by doing thousands of different things a few times. It is achieved by doing a few things thousands of times.
Take Simrit for instance. Simrit has a few things that she does every day without fail. She does her yoga exercises, her kriya/meditation, she chants specific mantras a specific amount of times and she does her yogic vocal exercises. She does not change her routine (or very rarely at least). Same thing...every day, without fail. If you were to ask her what the results are....you would get nothing short of phenomenal.

Speaking of minds and missions...I have watched a couple of fantastic movies recently.
The first is called Buck...and I highly recommend it. For the sake of keeping it short, its about mission, its about Dharma, and its about one human being, Buck, on the path of mastery (whether he realizes it or not). It's in theatres now, check out the trailer.
The other is More Than A Game...another documentary...this one is on DVD and Netflix. I'm a big basketball fan...but even if I wasn't, I think I would've LOVED this movie.
Look it up!
I was watching a Yogi Bhajan video class a few days ago and he said something that caused me to jump up off my sheepskin and quickly grab a pen and paper..."If you have a mind, you have a mission." It just rolls off the tongue with a resonance of simple truth...
I often hear folks talking about 'finding their purpose'. The problem is this: Our purpose, our mission, has to do with the highest frequency of who we are. In other words, you can work to find your purpose all day long, but if you are not simultaneously working to expand the field of your awareness, it is an impossibility.

The beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that it meets you wherever you're at. There is no level one or level two...come as you are, be who you are, and leave as more of you than you've ever been.
Kundalini Yoga simply gives you more access to your greatness, to your grace, to your beauty and to your own intelligence. Yes, it is deeply healing, but its primary purpose is not for healing....its purpose is to create individuals of such an elevated caliber that even the heavens itself are in service to you.

There is no look to a yogi...no way of dressing...no religion, no race.
A yogi cannot be identified by what they say, the jewelry they wear, their work in the world or the activities they do. The yogi is a yogi by their presence.
The beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that it has no requirements. Come as who you are, leave with a radiance that lights up your world around you.
